Communications Operator EMS-EMS Dispatch-Full Time

Summary:

Answers all incoming calls, these will be transfers or 911 calls.Gets information from callers to be able to dispatch ambulance while keeping callers' calm.May need to give pre-arrival medical instructions.Dispatches ambulances.

Responsibilities:

• Answers phone calls
• Gives pre-arrival medical instructions
• Talking on phone while typing
• Staying calm in a high stress environment

Requirements:

• High School diploma
• Good typing skills
• Good communication skills
