Targeted Salary Range: $100,000-$120,000 Targeted 20% Annual Bonus Job Summary
This position is responsible for directing all aspects of the company's accounting functions, including the establishment and maintenance of accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. This role also assists in preparing financial reports and presenting findings and recommendations to leadership as well as leads the month end close process with some hands-on work in preparing certain account reconciliations and journal entries.
Essential Functions
- Develop, maintain and monitor systems, controls and processes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all company accounting records, including producing monthly, quarterly and annual reports to provide management with critical financial information.
- Analyze current procedures, processes, and policies; recommend changes for continual improvement of departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead accounting team with closing the books, reconciling all accounts, and promoting subsidiary books for consolidation.
- Provide variance analysis and investigate and summarize favorable and unfavorable deviations.
- Develop and prepare monthly and quarterly forecasts in collaboration with departmental leadership / budget owners.
- Manage internal and external reporting and act as a point of contact for other departments, including the parent company and outside government agencies (e.g., state, tax) and professional service organizations (e.g., accounting, tax, banking, legal, insurance).
- Work with Corporate payroll function and ADP to support payroll activities.
- Manage Concur expense reporting, reimbursement and corporate credit card programs.
- Assist finance leader with monitoring, assessing and reporting on the overall global financial performance of the business, including but not limited to: developing key metrics, KPIs and reporting packages for the business.
- Coordinate communication with all relevant tax authorities and oversee the set-up and calculation of sales tax, when applicable.
- Coordinate audit activity with parent company and outside auditors.
- Oversee the compilation and reporting as required by the Physician Payments Sunshine Act.
- Work closely with HR, IT, Compliance and Legal to support employees and office administration.
- Maintain and monitor team workload, performance, and quality.
- Assess and manage direct reports' learning and development opportunities.
- Conduct annual and ongoing performance reviews with recommendations for compensation changes, promotions, and disciplinary action as appropriate.
- Participate in the interviewing, hiring, and retention of highly engaged and diverse employees.

- Execute company strategic business plans and long and short-term objectives.
Required/Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5+ years of experience in accounting / financial roles required and
- Proven experience in a manager/supervisor role preferred
- Project management experience preferred
- Experience in a medical device company or related field desired
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Preferred or
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Preferred
