Senior Accountant/Assistant Controller position with a local General Contractor in the construction business in Verona, PA! This position offers a direct path to the Controller seat in the next 3-5 years. We are looking for a hands-on accounting professional with experience in the construction industry. This role touches all aspects of accounting, so we're looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment. Our client offers 100% paid employee medical insurance premium, strong 401k program including 5% company contribution quarterly, and a robust PTO plan.

Key responsibilities include:


  • Union payroll
  • AIA billing (Accounts Receivable & Payable)
  • Quarterly tax reporting
  • General accounting and financial support to include creation and review of WIP report



What we're looking for:


  • BS degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Experience in construction accounting is essential
  • Familiarity with union payroll and AIA invoicing
  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills
  • Experience with SAGE 300
  • Someone who can roll up their sleeves and take initiative in a small team
