Summary
Responsible for the day-to-day care of residents, which includes ADLS, IADLS, light housekeeping, and assisting residents with medications. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions -Provide leadership to PCA's and provides department orientation to newly hired PCA's. -Assist Personal Care Director with shift schedules and bi-weekly payroll. -Prepare a daily work assignment for each PCA in the absence of a supervisor and communicate pertinent information relating to resident care. -Utilize chart-to-chart reports to communicate routine reporting to the PCA who is coming on duty. -Assist with the new resident admission process. -Ability to follow facility admission procedures and communicate resident admission to responsible party. -Maintains effective working relationships and open communication with residents, family, and physicians. -Addresses concerns regarding care and initiate corrective action if indicated. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience Medical Office/Hospital/Managed Care Experience 1-2 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as a team. - Ability to complete oral and written reports.
