About the Role:

JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of the Business Development Manager is to generate new account business and grow and maintain strategic accounts located within the Eastern United States. They will develop, implement strategies to drive revenue and improve customer satisfaction that will solidify EUSSD position as vendor of choice for future work.

EUSSD is a provider of testing and engineering services to multiple industries to include Aerospace, Defense, Space and Military.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Existing accounts management
  • Grow and increase existing business Mid and Eastern regions of the US
  • Work both self-generated and Market Leads to generate opportunities
  • Generating quoting opportunities by presenting and selling company products and services
  • Focused effort on winning work to meet assigned quotas
  • Support the backlog conversions of won opportunities to drive revenue
  • Preparing presentations, specific to potential customer needs
  • Customer communications including: telephone calls, in-person visits and presentations to prospective customers
  • Participating in trade shows and conventions
  • Communicating new service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff
  • Capture management, accurate forecasting
  • Preparing action/attack plans to identify specific targets and projects
  • Preparing a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up
  • Analyze the Facility's market potential and determining the value of prospective customers
  • Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to negotiate discounts for standard customers/accounts and MSAs
  • Proficient in communicating price increases
  • Must be able to travel 50-75% of the time in Mid and Eastern USA
  • Must be able to effectively represent EUSSD during award of contract process unsupervised
  • Excellent understanding of EUSSD sales process
  • Ability to establish and build relationships with customers to encourage new and repeat business opportunities
  • Ability to plan and organize personal sales strategy by maximizing the "return-on-time" investment for the Facility/segment
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time
  • Must have technical knowledge and acumen in order to better understand EUSSD capabilities
  • Must have proficient computer skills (MS Office Suite) and have experience with a CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365)
  • Must be a team player

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in a technical or business field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of field sales experience to include new accounts, customer development, selling in a technical/business environment to one or more of the following industries: Aerospace, Defense, Space or Military
