As a Summer Intern at Planned Systems International, you will work closely with our experienced team members to support various aspects of the federal contracting process. Depending on your areas of interest, you will have the opportunity to assist in multiple functional areas such as the preparation of proposals, managing contracts, participating in marketing activities, supporting our diverse project teams and back-office staff in servicing our customers, providing IT technical and development support, and participating in many other special projects and initiatives. You will also benefit from training opportunities, mentorship, and networking events.



Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

Key responsibilities may include:

    Proposal Support: Assist in the preparation of proposals for government contracts, including conducting research, gathering documentation, and organizing proposal materials.
  1. Contract Management: Support the management of existing contracts by assisting with contract administration tasks such as monitoring deliverables, tracking contract modifications, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
  2. Market Research: Conduct research on potential clients, competitors, and market trends to inform business development efforts and strategic decision-making.
  3. Documentation and Reporting: Assist in the preparation of various documents and reports related to federal contracting activities, such as status reports, project updates, and compliance documentation.
  4. Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the federal contracting team, including scheduling meetings, organizing files, and coordinating logistics for events or meetings.
  5. IT support: Provide technical support, systems administration or application development support within our organizational support team or embedded within one of our many specialized project teams.
  6. HR and Finance: Provide administrative support directly to our HR and Finance teams, utilizing best in class government accounting and human capital management systems.
  7. Marketing: Participate in managing social media accounts, updating websites, creating marketing collateral, and contributing to design projects to effectively communicate the company's value proposition, offerings and successes.
  8. Special Projects: Participate in special projects as assigned, which may involve research, analysis, and presentation of findings to support business objectives.


Minimum Requirements

  • Enrolled in a college undergraduate program. Majors such as Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, Marketing and Communications are preferred.
  • Strong academic record, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Prior experience or coursework in government contracting is a plus, but not required.
