Job Description:
Location: Rogers, AK
Shift: Night
Shift Premium: $2
The Team Performance Leader (TPL) is accountable for leading the daily operations as well as meeting shift performance goals. Additionally, the TPL will coordinate production requirements by communicating production priorities established through Production Management, Production Control, and Shipping, as well as ensuring orders are processed with an emphasis on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Manufactures sufficient quantities of quality products at or below budgeted production costs in order to meet marketplace demand - Sets up equipment operation feed, speed and temperature
- Follows established procedures for operating various conventional and/or CNC (computerized numerical control) manufacturing equipment for tasks such as cutting, punching, forming, drilling, tapping, turning, milling, and stamping to fabricate, form or shape manufactured parts, tools or parts assemblies from raw materials
- Selects and measures raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing
- Resolves issues related to the organization's production, machinery, processing and/or packaging operations
- Responsibilities are within Manufacturing/Operations Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines
Safety:
* Administer current programs to assure the health and safety of employees and meet OSHA requirements * Provide assistance to CMTs for medical assistance * Guide and direct department safety leaders * Enforce Plant & Department Safety Rules * Monitor employee behaviors/work practices, address unsafe acts/conditions and SQF violations * Perform and process safety, behavioral, SQF and housekeeping audits
Quality:
Facilitate use of in house quality control systems as needed, including QM modules, paper charts, and CAPA
Help ensure materials produced meet established quality standards
Administer 6S activities in the department, including daily audits
Analyze quality issues to determine root cause and communicate with appropriate teams to prevent recurrence
Support and participate in the CAPA process
Administrative:
- Prepare shift manning schedules to ensure proper coverage and production is achieved.
- Record attendance and document vacation and holiday taken.
- Verify time accuracy in E-Time.
- Document absenteeism and communicate unfavorable trend to the GPL.
- Monitor production activities (breaks, Tardiness, shift changes, etc.) and address issues appropriately, in a timely manner.
- Advise management of employee issues that may require their immediate attention to Safety, Quality, Production and Personnel issues.
- Assist in communicating and coordination of training.
- Track and document "Pay for Performance" to provide proper and adequate feedback to Group Performance Leader
- Perform SAP transactions for report processing for the Press / Lam group.
- Performs other duties as directed by Group Performance Leader.
Productivity:
- Lead shift's Performance Management System activities including "Focus 5" meetings with operators and partner with cross-functional support elements and participate in daily integration meetings
- Perform and document production short interval control audits on established cost triggers and then take appropriate action to resolve issues
- Initiate root cause analysis and take/recommend appropriate action. Escalate to Group Performance Leader or support departments as necessary.
- Drive action items derived from Plan-Do-Check-Act process
- Assist in design, implementation, and administration of department improvement programs.
- Update and evaluate schedule adherence reports to prevent orders shipping late.
- Communicate with Production Control to help ensure efficient processing of second order releases, move-ups, ramrods and air shipments.
- Work with Production Control to help resolve schedule changes.
- Initiate inventory location balancing with operators and warehouse personnel to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Advise Group Performance Leader of employee issues that may require attention.
- Review and verify bin counts.
- Assist in researching and correcting orders.
Supervisory:
- Has the authority to remove employees from company premises for the violation of Sealed Air Corp. "Zero Tolerance" infractions.
- Has the authority to research and document all negative job performance issues.
- Gather employee statements and participate in the investigation process when needed.
- Initiate corrective action forms.
- Has the authority to conduct release meetings.
- Has the authority to conduct qualification meetings for qualified operators.
Other Requirements:
Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Bachelor degree preferred; relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, be well organized, and be a team player
Proficient in computer applications including SAP, Excel, and Word
Demonstrated commitment to safety
Positive work history with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Able to work independently and within a team, producing results with minimal guidance from management
Support Lean initiatives within the Press and Lamination department
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation and negotiation abilities
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude
Follow all safety, quality, plant GMP, and food handling guidelines
Flexible schedule based on project demands and business needs
