The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Virginia (UVA) School of Medicine seeks applicants for an Administrative Assistant or Intermediate Administrative Assistant to perform clerical and administrative work for the section of Pediatric Psychology and Behavioral Health. Administrative Assistants perform work of a clerical nature, providing office support under direct supervision. Work is typically repetitive and follows consistent practice and established procedures. The UVA Department of Pediatrics and the UVA Health Children's share a common goal to enhance the health and well-being of children and families through collaborative medical care, education of professionals dedicated to pediatric healthcare, breakthrough research that improves lives, leadership, and community service. This position will join a supportive, learning-oriented team. This candidate will be expected to collaborate and provide cross coverage to the division of Neurodevelopmental Pediatrics, and can be reassigned to another division within the department if needed. This position is a restricted position and is dependent upon project need, availability of funding and performance. This is an Non-Exempt level, benefited position. Physical Demands: This position is located in Charlottesville, VA. This position will be in person, on site Monday through Friday (this is not a remote/virtual work position). This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
