The Procurement Organization includes a staff of more than two hundred sourcing managers, buyers, analysts, and supplier diversity personnel. Our mission is to deliver cost effective and valued procurement services through strategic, diverse, and sustainable business solutions. Our work requires close integration with all lines of business, finance, and our suppliers.

The Procurement Excellence Center (PEC) is a strategic function dedicated to driving procurement transformation, operational efficiency, and value creation across the organization. Within the Procurement organization, the PEC establishes best practices, standardizes processes, and leverages advanced analytics and market intelligence to enable data-driven decision-making. The PEC collaborates with all Procurement teams to enhance capabilities, improve performance, and optimize costs. Key focus areas include market intelligence and analytics, digital procurement transformation, risk management, supplier relationship management, governance, and capability development.

Position Summary

The Program Manager, Procurement Governance & Best Practices, Career may be responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of procurement policies, governance frameworks, Procurement best practices, and continuous learning programs. This role may drive compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements, promote best practices, and enhance procurement capabilities across the organization. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker capable of optimizing procurement governance to drive efficiency and compliance, supporting PG&E's commitment to safe, reliable, and sustainable energy.

This role will work closely with procurement leadership, procurement individual contributors, and cross-functional teams to ensure policies are relevant and enforceable. The position requires a balance of process improvement and hands-on execution to drive best-in-class procurement governance.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work headquarters.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.Although we estimatethe successful candidate hiredinto this rolewill beplaced towards the middle or entry pointof the range, the decisionwill be made on a case-by-casebasis related tothese factors.

A reasonable salary range is:

Bay Area Minimum: $85,000

Bay Area Midpoint: $106,000

Bay Area Maximum: $127,000

California Maximum: $121,000

Reporting Relationship

The Program Manager, Procurement Governance & Best Practices, Career will report to the Procurement Governance & Best Practices Sr. Manager.

Job Responsibilities

  • Navigates and resolves moderate to complex challenges by applying strategic thinking and innovative approaches, redefining solutions to align with evolving business objectives.
  • Supports cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders including Law, Ethics & Compliance, Finance, IT, Operations, and others to ensure procurement initiatives align with enterprise priorities.
  • Communicates with peers inside and outside of PG&E exchanging ideas or gathering information.
  • Supports development and facilitation of strategic workshops, stakeholder engagement sessions, and executive presentations to drive alignment and decision-making
  • Develops and executes Lean strategies within Procurement, identifying and eliminating inefficiencies to drive process excellence.
  • May support reporting and analysis to provide business insights
  • Responsible for supporting key deliverables within the program

Background Qualifications

Minimum

  • 3 years of related experience or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent experience in business

Desired

  • 5 years experience in governance, procurement, supply chain, or strategic program management
  • Change Management Certification (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR)
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform
  • Strong data analysis and visualization skills
  • Full understanding of Program Management
  • Ability to assess and recommend solutions for assigned projects
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, perform and communicate activities both in written and verbal form
  • Knowledge of current utility and energy industry issues, industry trends and political, economic and social issues affecting the market.
  • Knowledge of energy industry applications to local level customers, including energy issues, customer energy efficiency applications, and general customer information.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint
