962 GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE: This role is a strategic leadership sales role for North America and export destinations on all aspects of Dole Fresh Vegetables (DFV) Fresh Pack products. The general purpose is to secure and maintain distribution of Fresh Pack products through a strategic approach to the business, while managing the increased profitable sales growth MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION: * Lead teams selling Dole products to specifically targeted customers for the highest price, using sales techniques and strategies to consistently surpass volume and revenue targets.
* Secure new distribution (both contractual and open market).
* Investigate all sales opportunities for DFV within North America
* Work closely with all customers, maintaining positive working relationships
* Prepare and present quarterly sales business reviews
* Recommend potential new Fresh Pack products to senior staff.
* Present new value-added and full-service solution opportunities to senior staff.
* Develop and manage sales to meet or exceed developed and established budgets.
* Management of direct reports, including supervision and leadership on results of metrics, performance management, goal setting, training and coaching.
* Other duties as assigned Required Skills
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES: * 10-15 years sales experience
* Strong communication, interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, and decision-making skills
* Understanding of an account P&L,
* Knowledge and ability to use basic software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Cognos, and syndicated data.
* Understanding of basics relative to production and quality control
* Understanding of commodity markets and personnel management.
* Knowledge of the value-added business and how they work.
* Knowledge of perishable supply chain logistics, integrated account management and basic qualitative and quantitative consumer needs analysis. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Ability to use phone, computer and other basic office equipment
* Ability to climb stairs, be stationary for long periods of time, and stoop, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs. WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: * Must be available to work irregular and/or changing shifts including holidays and weekends.
* Work extended hours and some weekends, per business needs.
* Ability to be available electronically at all times.
* Ability to travel - up to 50% required.
Required Experience
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: * Bachelor's degree in Business Management/Sales, or a minimum of 10 years business management experience required PAY RATE:
