As a Security Professional - Retail Screener in Aberdeen, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Security Officer in a retail or mall environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure atmosphere for visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols help to deter security-related incidents, while your strong communication and customer service skills support a positive experience for everyone on site. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity in every interaction.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail or mall environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site policies.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with site management and local authorities when necessary to address incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• A valid guard card or security license is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
