The Position

This is a great opportunity for lawyers with excellent research, writing and analytical skills to work with a collaborative group of experienced coverage attorneys who handle cases in Texas and throughout the U.S., working with domestic and foreign insurers.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Work closely with other attorneys and Partners on insurance coverage matters
  • Draft coverage opinion and coverage position letters
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and handle discovery
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support case strategy
  • Provide clients with insurance coverage advice on a variety of subjects
  • Communicate with clients and draft reports to clients


Qualifications



  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice in the State of Texas
  • 1+ years of defense litigation preferred
  • Experience in areas of insurance coverage such as coverage opinions is a plus
  • Experience in both third-party and first-party claims is a plus
  • Coverage analysis and writing experience is a plus
  • Superior analytical and research skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
