JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

TheEberly College of Science Biology DepartmentatThe Pennsylvania State Universityis seeking qualified candidates for anAdministrative Assistant - Intermediate Supportposition to support the undergraduate education team and Associate Head of Undergraduate Education.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • assisting with scheduling meetings and enrolling / acting as timekeeper for students in some courses for the teaching faculty
  • supporting coordination and collection of peer evaluation forms, assessment survey data, research credits, and SEEQ data for P & T reviews
  • support for advising staff with New Student Orientation (NSO) and other duties over summer.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Strong investigative skills with the ability to use creative thinking to improve existing and develop new duties and business processes.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Positive, professional, and efficient work style.
  • Initiative, collegiality, accuracy and promote a culture that is conducive to effective relationships among diverse team members.

Education and Experience:

This position requires a High School Diploma or higher plus 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Lionpath will be given extra consideration.

After a successful training period, this position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$38,300.00 - $55,500.00
