Security Professional - Armed Utility

As a Security Professional - Armed Utility in Gibsonton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .

As an Access Control Officer in a utilities environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure atmosphere. Your presence and attention to detail will support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry out your duties with professionalism and strong communication skills. You will be expected to provide exceptional customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Pay Rate: $19.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and monitor for security-related incidents.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment for personnel and visitors.
• Document and report any security-related incidents or unusual activities according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders as needed during incidents or drills.

Minimum Requirements:

• Florida Security Professional Guard Card required.
• An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
• An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
