A&P mechanics maintain operational integrity and perform routine, preventive, and scheduled maintenance to our aircraft (e.g., Cessna 208). You will also be responsible for integrating our automated aviation system on aircraft, while continuously improving our installation and maintenance processes to meet engineering and business requirements, including safety, quality, cost, and on-time delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a safety-critical environment that takes automated aviation systems from development to production in a hands-on environment, while defining the future of aviation.

Responsibilities
  • Performs routine/non-routine inspections and maintenance to ensure aircraft safety and availability
  • Maintains records of aircraft installations, maintenance, and modifications
  • Performs modifications, including fabrication and installation of the Reliable Robotics automated aviation system
  • Build, installation, diagnostics, inspection, and maintenance of Reliable products, line replaceable units (LRUs), harnessing, and interconnects
  • Ensures product and process quality by testing finished products and process capabilities, establishing standards, and developing installation processes
  • Manages operational processes (e.g., tool control, Foreign Object Debris (FOD), Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), etc)
Basic Success Criteria
  • Completion of the Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate accredited by the FAA
  • Prior experience working on electrical or mechanical hardware
  • Hands-on experience working with hand tools
  • Prior experience following detailed instructions and procedures
Preferred Success Criteria
  • General fabrication and modification experience (e.g., sheet metal)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair aircraft electrical and avionics using standard test equipment

This role is headquartered in San Martin, California.
Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time.
The estimated salary range for this position is $68,000 - $98,000 annual salary + cash and stock option awards + benefits. At Reliable Robotics, we strive to provide competitive and rewarding compensation based on experience and expertise, as well as market conditions, location, and pay equity.
In addition to base compensation, Reliable Robotics offers stock options, employee medical, 401k contribution, great co-workers, and a casual work environment.
