Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Physical Therapist ll - Brooklyn.

In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for evaluating physical therapy needs and implementing comprehensive, medically prescribed physical treatment to assigned patients in a supervised program of rehabilitation. Demonstrates a variety of treatment approaches. Assists the clinical Manager in organizing unit activities. Assists with the implementation of clinical teaching sessions to staff and students on an ongoing basis.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assesses and evaluates the patient's rehabilitation needs utilizing observation and interviewing skills. Conducts physical therapy examinations. Utilizes related knowledge and skills on an on-going basis.
  • Accurately completes all department and patient care documentation according to current standards and policy
  • Participates in team meetings, case conferences and committees as assigned.
  • Develops and implements discharge plan in conjunction with patient, care partners and other members of the care team.
  • Demonstrates the ability to organize and manage patient caseload.
  • Provides appropriate educational instruction and clinical supervision for patient, care partners and support staff
  • Evaluates patient's progress and response to therapy, and modifies treatment intervention as needed.
  • Utilizes knowledge of scientific principles and departmental policy to render safe and effective treatment interventions.
  • Evaluates the patient response to treatment interventions and revises the care plan with input from appropriate team members, the patient and care partners.
  • Develops and implements a care plan that meets the identified needs of the patient and care partners. The care plan must include measurable short and long term goals with time frames.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy. New York State Physical Therapy License or temporary permit. Good Communication and interpersonal skills. Minimum of two years experience as a Physical Therapist.
New York State License or eligible in Physical Therapy
CPR certification
5 years experience as a Physical Therapist and 17 days of continuing education or advanced degree work deemed comparable.

Required Licenses: Phys Thrpst License-NYS

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $115,861.67 - $116,901.67 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
