Position Overview:

The Director of Deposit and Treasury Operations is responsible for overseeing and managing the comprehensive operations of Treasury Management, Deposit Operations, Electronic banking, and Escrow functions. This role ensures the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of all related activities while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. The Director will apply a business-oriented approach to Operations, building relationships with key business and technology personnel and collaborating to build solutions optimizing service and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership and Operational Oversight (30%)



  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for Deposit Operations, Electronic Banking, Escrow Management, and Treasury Management Operations.
  • Ensure compliance with bank policies, regulatory requirements, and operational efficiencies.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of cash and escrow management services to meet client requirements.


Process Improvement and Compliance (25%)



  • Continuously improve operational processes to mitigate risks, increase efficiencies, and enhance functionality.
  • Partners with respective LOB executives to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity of operations and client facing teams.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, including NACHA, REG E, and Visa rules.
  • Maintain and update operational procedures and policies.


Client and Vendor Relations (20%)



  • Foster strong relationships with internal departments, including Treasury Management Sales, IT, Retail Banking, and other support groups.
  • Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies and internal/external audits related to electronic banking and ACH.
  • Respond to client inquiries and ensure superior service levels during the onboarding process and problem resolution.
  • Ensure proper controls and reporting are in place to deliver on targeted productivity and quality control SLA requirements.


Staff Management and Development (15%)



  • Manage and supervise direct reports, including Deposit Operations Specialists, Electronic Banking Specialists, Escrow Operations Specialists, and Treasury Management Operations Associates.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to ensure staff are knowledgeable and proficient in their roles.


Project Management and Special Incentives (10%)



  • Lead and participate in special projects and assignments related to deposit, electronic banking, escrow, and treasury management operations.
  • Support data migration, system conversion, and clean-up of legacy accounts and relationships.


Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field. A Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) credential is a plus.

Experience:

Minimum of fifteen years of experience in banking operations, with at least ten years in a senior supervisory role. Extensive experience in deposit operations, electronic banking, escrow management, and treasury management is preferred.

Skills:



  • Proven leader with past successfully executed divisional responsibilities, experience working with Senior Management at a strategic level.
  • Operations experience in Item Processing, Wire Transfer, Reg E, Debit Card, and ACH processing.
  • Experience in the management and operational aspects of Cash Management, which includes Online Business and Commercial product operations.
  • Knowledge of Reg E, Check 21, Account and Item Processing, Levy & Subpoena, and Digital Channels including Online and Mobile banking.
  • Experience in managing the operational implementation of core system releases and upgrades.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to interact effectively and tactfully with clients and employees of all levels.
  • Working knowledge of PC applications, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.

The approximate pay range for this position is $168,812 to $220,000, plus an opportunity to earn performance-based incentives. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as geographic location.
