Product Designer (UI/UX) Internship

About the Role

We're looking for a curious, creative, and detail-oriented UI/UX Design Intern to join our product design team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience designing real products in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You'll assist in designing intuitive, user-friendly interfaces and experiences, and get exposure to the full product design process-from research and wireframing to prototyping and developer handoff.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with product designers, developers, and product managers to contribute to live projects
  
  
• Help create wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, and visual assets using Figma
  
  
• Participate in user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate ideas
  
  
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions and UI/UX design reviews
  
  
• Help maintain and evolve the design system for visual consistency and scalability
  
  
• Learn and apply accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG) to ensure inclusive user experiences
  
  
• Support documentation efforts for design decisions and style guides

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing a degree or certificate in UX/UI Design, Graphic Design, HCI, or related field
  
  
• A portfolio (can include school work or personal projects) demonstrating an understanding of design thinking, layout, and usability
  
  
• Proficiency with Figma (or Sketch/Adobe XD)
  
  
• Interest in accessible design, data-driven design, and responsive UI for web or mobile
  
  
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
  
  
• Curious mindset and a willingness to learn from feedback
  
  

Nice to Have (but Not Required)

• Familiarity with Agile or collaborative development environments
  
  
• Experience with basic HTML/CSS or design handoff tools like Zeplin or Figma Dev Mode
  
  
• Exposure to user research methodologies and tools (like Maze, Optimal Workshop, or similar)

Internship pay will be between $25-35 per hour
