Manager, Accounts Payable

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Manages the Accounts Payable department including three Accounts Payable Processors for all daily, weekly & monthly responsibilities.

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE

The Manager, Accounts Payable reports into the Director of Accounting and is based in Morristown, New Jersey. There are three AP Associates that report into the Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities of this role include the following:

1. Manages three A/P processors with their daily responsibilities
2. Coupa (P2P Software) Super User responsible for user training, exceptions handling and resolution of issues directly with IT and Coupa administrator
3. Weekly reviews of invoices prior to the issuance of payments for all US companies
4. Responsible for the oversight of expense report submissions in Concur and their compliance with the T&E policy
5. Overseeing wire transfer process for both foreign & domestic payments using the HSBC banking portal and clearing them in SAP
6. Working with the Director of Treasury to assist in managing cash to ensure on time payments
7. Responsible for ensuring that the AP close is completed & accurate each month
8. Managing the process of issuing annual Forms 1099 to the vendors
9. Preparing and submitting New York State Sales and Use tax
10. Liaison between the A/P department and all levels of management
11. Documenting Policies and Procedures for P2P processes

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum of 8 years Accounts Payable experience (5 as a Manager/Supervisor)
• Knowledge of Coupa preferred, but not required
• Experience working with SAP
• Proven track of implementing efficiencies in AP process
• Able to work as a group leader as well as individually to achieve both department & company desired results
• Experience in P2P software implementation preferred, but not required
