Overview

Selective is seeking a entry level developer to prepare or assists with the preparation of computer programs required to solve business problems. Analyzes, reviews, and/or changes programs to adapt to changes in requirements or equipment configuration. Entry level programming positions are under the direct supervision of higher level programmers and carry out work assignments designed to prepare them for advancement to the next level of applications programming. All job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Develops program code. Tests and debugs, as necessary.
  • Translates system and program specifications into high-level computer language.
  • Performs limited program analysis and/or assists senior staff members in analysis and design of programs.
  • Analyzes sources and content of data.
  • Assists in preparing instructions for computer operations. Prepares documentation required to support job assignments.
  • Develop program and computer operations procedures documentation.
  • Makes practical application of basic, learned practices and concepts to routine business problems.
  • Receives formal training, if required, and on-the-job instruction in conjunction with a progression of increasingly more difficult tasks.

Qualifications

  • This position requires the individual to possess the ability to communicate effectively to complete assigned tasks, to work independently on routine assignments, and to get training, as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Management Information Systems or related field of study preferred.
  • Software Development in Pega technology and knowledge of other development language such as JavaScript, HTML, Java, and Angular.
