Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Student Recruitment Specialist to join our admissions team. Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Admission, the Student Recruitment Specialist will play an instrumental role in attracting, engaging, and enrolling transfer students who align with the institution's mission and values. This demanding role necessitates robust collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, making a profound impact on our institution's enrollment objectives. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong passion for higher education, and the ability to connect with and inspire students throughout the admission process.
The Student Recruitment Specialist is a member of the undergraduate admission team and is expected to work collaboratively and strategically within and outside of the Admission Office to meet the University's enrollment goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Student Recruitment and Outreach:
*Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and engage prospective students.
*Represent the institution at college fairs, community college visits, and other recruitment events.
*Build relationships with community college counselors, community organizations, and educational agencies to enhance recruitment efforts.
*Conduct informational sessions and presentations to promote the institution and its programs.
*Respond to inquiries from prospective students and provide accurate and timely information about admission requirements, programs, and campus life.
*Develop a robust knowledge of how transfer degrees apply to the institution from our local community colleges e.g., Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, et.

2. Application and Admission Process:
*Review and evaluate applications for admission, including transcripts, test scores, and personal statements.
*Assist students with the application process, ensuring completion and submission of required documents.
*Conduct interviews and assessments to assess student fit and potential for success.
*Collaborate with the admissions team to make admission decisions and communicate outcomes to applicants.

3. Student Support and Guidance:
*Serve as a primary point of contact for admitted students, providing guidance and support throughout the enrollment process.
*Assist students in understanding financial aid options, scholarships, and tuition payment plans.
*Coordinate campus visits and personalized meetings for admitted students and their families.
*Facilitate connections between prospective students and current students, faculty, and staff to provide a comprehensive view of the institution's offerings.

4.Data Management and Reporting:
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student interactions, application status, and recruitment activities in the admissions database.
*Generate reports on recruitment efforts, application trends, and conversion rates to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
*Analyze data to identify recruitment opportunities, trends, and areas for improvement.

Shift

40 hours a week, evening and weekend hours will apply.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

*Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
*Previous experience in college admissions, student recruitment, or a related field is preferred.
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse student populations.
*Knowledge of admission processes, enrollment management practices, and higher education trends.
*Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
*Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
*Proficient in using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software.
*Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for recruitment events and activities.
*Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally and regionally.

Anticipated Hiring Range

$16.72 -$ 22.91 per hour
