Position Description
As the Senior Manager of Operations your role will be to manage operations for assigned location(s). You will provide leadership in the areas of safety, quality, production, financial controls, plant security, OSHA compliance, quality, facilities, and manufacturing. You will also work cross-functionally to ensure consistency in operations and related strategies. You will ensure large-scale projects are completed on time, on budget and meet specified quality standards, production requirements and preset goals. #LI-LB1 #LI-Onsite
You will do thys by:
Overseeingmultiple departments and support areas within the assigned plant. Managingthe effective use of production hours, skills, equipment and facilities and is accountable for safety, production delivery, and manufacturing costs Participatingin planning production schedules, requirements and manufacturing controls as related to manufacturing operations Developingand implementingstrategies for operational improvement; ensuringefficiency standards for all operations are met Developingcapital and other annual budgeting; maintainingand managingestablished budgets throughout fiscal year to achieve financial goals Evaluatingnew technologies and recommendingstrategies for acquisition and implementation Drivingcost reduction and continuous improvement concepts and projects to achieve annual goals; monitoringand improvingemployee productivity and effectiveness related to operations and maintains a commitment to employee involvement Performingfull range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; department budget Performingother duties as assigned
You are the type of person who is/has:
Comprehensive knowledge of production practices, processes, procedures and support activities including efficiency levels and productivity standards Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to effectively work with diverse groups of people Demonstrated success in implementing large-scale improvements and changes in complex and diverse environments Proficient computer skills and familiarity with office applications and enterprise resource planning (SAP)
Familiarity with Purchasing and Industrial Engineering functions as well as plant layout efficiencies Strong leadership and motivational skills and the ability to develop leadership qualities in others Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Well-developed analytical skills and knowledge of analysis techniques that assist in report preparation for decision-making purposes Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or related field, or equivalent education and experience
