Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Sales Director to join our team in Chicago, IL. This position will cover Illinois, Western Michigan, Northern Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, Missouri and Iowa. As a Sales Director, you will be a: Strategic leader responsible for contributing to the growth and profitability of the company through development and execution of business plan to achieve area business development goals and objectives. Responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, real estate, A&D firms, project management firms and channel partners to drive new business development. Provide leadership, support and direction to direct report team and maintains united focus and effort on capturing market share. Meets assigned sales targets including quota.
Essential Functions
- Collaborates with sales leadership to align business development initiatives with overall business strategy for growing market share and revenue.
- Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with distribution partners through joint strategy planning and development for execution of market share growth initiatives.
- Measures and analyze business development performance, identifying areas for optimization.
- Promotes collaborative and efficient environments internally and externally; address stakeholder concerns, including dealer, end-user and key influencers to foster effective partnerships.
- Leads and manages a strategic business development function, such as territory sales, global accounts, or architectural and A+D sales.
- Creates and execute business development strategies and programs that align with business objectives, support organizational growth, and drive continuous improvement by evaluating processes, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing best practices.
- Drives strategic revenue growth, implements effective strategies, fosters team accountability, and ensures clear communication of goals.
- Leads business performance through forecasting, pipeline management, and business plan execution, optimizing win rates. Oversees budget, policies, and team management, including hiring, development, and performance oversight.
- Coaches and develops team performance through regular sessions and reviews, ensuring accountability for goals. Promotes the effective use of Haworth selling tools and CRM.
- Champions a culture of belonging, supporting initiatives for talent acquisition, engagement, and retention. Fosters career enrichment opportunities for team members.
- Develops and implements account growth plans, encompassing campaigns, client engagement, and target account strategies, adapting to market dynamics to achieve sales goals.
- Maintains a strong market presence, cultivating relationships with key industry contacts, monitoring trends, promoting the brand, and pursuing new business.
- Must be able to perform all essential job function with/without accommodation.
- Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
- Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree inbusiness, sales, architecture, interior design, marketing, communication, or equivalent.
- Education Equivalency:
- Associate's degree plus 2 years related experience or,
- High school diploma plus 4 years related experience.
Work Experience:
- 7 years diversified sales and account development experience, including 6 years in commercial product sales with demonstrated track record of successful revenue generation/quota retirement results, and 3 years of experience in a sales supervisory role with a Bachelor's degree.
- 5 years diversified sales and account development experience, including 6 years in commercial product sales with demonstrated track record of successful revenue generation/quota retirement results, and 3 years of experience in a sales supervisory role with aMaster's degree.

Haworth offers a competitive total rewards package including base salary determined based on the role, experience, skill set, and location.
