We'll cover the cost of the program and help you build a career path with purpose. Upon completion, you'll be qualified to become a Medical Assistant, with a starting wage of $18 per hour. Additional Requirements Required: Certifications -Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare ProfessionalCertification - American Heart Association (AHA) - Within 60 days of hire or transfer. Regarding BLS certification: The department you are applying to may require BLS certification sooner than 60 days post transfer/hire. The hiring manager will discuss this with you if it is applicable. Preferred: Education - 80 hours of initial training in radiation safety, positioning, image review Certifications - Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) - South Dakota Board of Nursing Physical Requirements: Heavy work - exerting up to 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or up to 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and/or up to 100 pounds of force occassionally (up to 33% of the time), and or up to 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects. Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, or tissues.
