Summary of Job Duties:The Mobile Grocery Store Outreach Coordinator, a 12-month full-time, provisional position is responsible for overseeing and managing outreach activities for a mobile grocery program aimed at providing access to fresh, nutritious food in underserved communities. The role involves coordinating with government, community-based organizations, community leaders, and residents to promote the program, ensuring the mobile grocery store service reaches its target audiences, and supporting logistical aspects to ensure the success of the program. The Outreach Coordinator reports to the Director of the University District. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy. Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, public administration, public health, nutrition, or related field;
  • Three or more years of experience in a non-profit, governmental, or community-based organization focused on similar programming.

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

  • Master's degree in social work, public administration, public health or related field;
  • Knowledge of the Little Rock community and network of organizations related to food insecurity, funding, and related wrap around service programs;
  • Experience working in community outreach.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as liaison between the University District Development Corporation and partner organizations to establish MOU's for mobile grocery store to operate at approved sites;
  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, leaders, and residents to promote the mobile grocery store program;
  • Conduct outreach efforts to inform target communities about the availability and benefits of the mobile grocery store service;
  • Organize and attend community events, fairs, and meetings to raise awareness and provide information about the program;
  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to maximize program visibility and participation;
  • Coordinate distribution of flyers, social media posts, and other materials to increase awareness and engagement in the program;
  • Collaborate with the mobile grocery team to ensure routes, schedules, and stops are optimized to serve the target communities effectively;
  • Track program participation, customer feedback, and community impact to measure success and identify areas for improvement;
  • Prepare regular reports on outreach efforts, program engagement, and other key performance indicators;
  • Analyze community needs and provide feedback to program leadership for continuous improvement.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality;
  • Ability to make independent judgments that have a significant impact on programming;
  • Ability to meet deadlines;
  • Demonstrated record of building collaborative relationships;
  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills (word processing, spread sheets, social media platforms);
  • Flexibility with some evenings and weekends as required based on the mobile grocery store's operating schedule.

$40,000 to $50,000
