Patient Care Tech (PCT) - Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) - Nights - Full Time

• Provides basic patient care.
• Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.
• Takes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurse.
• Provides general nursing care and routine treatment /procedures.
• Facilitates processing of patients
• Provides clerical receptionist support
• Provides Coordinating Support

Education

High School diploma or equivalent GED. Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant.

Experience

Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant. Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience.

Licensure/Certification

Basic Life Support *(BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment.Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
