THOR Solutions is actively seeking a Logistics Analyst to support a U.S. Navy program in Washington, DC. You will be part of a large team that works closely with NAVSEA / SEA 21 / PMS 321 to deliver Integrated Logistics Services (ILS) support.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to logistics management operations, including planning, coordinating, and evaluating the 12 Integrated Product Support Elements (IPSE) for complex systems throughout all phases of the sustainment and acquisition processes.
  • Develop and implement policies, guidelines, and procedures for NAVSEA ILS execution; analyze complex product plans, provide tracking and status reports, and ensure compliance with DoD acquisition and sustainment processes.
  • Create innovative solutions for complex ILS issues; draft instructions and develop product support strategies.
  • Perform data analysis to monitor and measure process performance; analyze and improve business or systems processes; assist in the development and implementation of logistics and maintenance processes.
  • Assist with strategic planning for materials and distribution; identify and resolve cross-organizational problems impacting strategic objectives.
  • Optimize and streamline material management processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials for surface ship modernization and maintenance.
  • Aid in programmatic tasks not limited to meeting support, presentation development, minute-taking, action item tracking and weekly reporting.
  • Communicate effectively on a range of integrated logistics and sustainment topics with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Interface with logistics managers, contract support services, training facilities, and Integrated Logistics Support Management organizations.

Location: Full time onsite at NAVSEA HQ in Washington, DC.

Typical Physical Activity: Desk/computer work in an office environment. May involve: repetitive motion.

Typical Pay Range:The anticipated pay range for this position in the identified location(s) is $90,000 - 105,000. Actual compensation offered will be based upon individual factors including education, qualifications, and experience.

Existing Secret Security Clearance Required: This position requires an existing DoD Secret security clearance. A qualified candidate will already possess an Active or Interim Secret security clearance.

Typical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline.
    • In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 8 years applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.
  • At least five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant experience with Integrated Logistics Services (ILS) processes, providing logistics support, project management, and professional services to the Material Management Directorate, aiding in surface ship maintenance, modernization, and sustainment.
  • Experience in using metrics to examine, analyze and evaluate logistics trends or process indicators and provide recommendations.
  • Experienced in logistics functions and applying concepts, policies, and program guidance.
  • Experience with sustainment and acquisition logistics product support elements
  • Knowledge of Navy maritime surface platforms maintenance and supply programs
  • Knowledge of Navy supply management policies, procedures, and accountability transactions
  • Knowledgeable about modernization and maintenance plans for US Navy surface ships.
  • Capable of synthesizing diverse information into clear, concise reports for senior leadership.
  • Experienced in collecting, organizing, analyzing, and displaying data from multiple sources.
  • Supply chain management experience; specialized knowledge and experience of military logistics support activities in areas of acquisition management, purchasing, transportation, distribution and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, specifically MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • An ideal candidate will possess one or both of the following Defense Acquisition University (DAU) courses:
    • Fundamentals of Systems Acquisition Management ACQ 101 or ACQ 1010
    • Acquisition Logistics Fundamentals LOG 101
