Job Overview:

Responsible for obtaining accurate patient information in order to schedule appointments for Ambulatory Care Inpatient Rehabiliation , using the computer scheduling system. Disseminates, as needed, patient and|or clinician schedules to appropriate hospital staff. Must exhibit strong customer service skills and be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced work environment. Provides clerical assistance to Manager and staff .

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Previous hospital or physician's office experience
  • Knowledge of various computer software packages essential

Preferred:

  • Scheduling and data entry experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of various computer software packages essential

Essential Functions:

  • Using the computer scheduling system, coordinates|schedules accurately and timely single and multiple appointments for Outpatients|Inpatients, and|or LTCpatients. Disseminates schedules as requested to the appropriate hospital staff.

Observes and follows policies and procedures of ACC inpatient rehabiliationInstructs volunteers, as needed, of their assigned duties. , * Prioritizes duties and responsibilities. schedules work flow to facilitate production of accurate,efficient and timely output. Demonstrates time management skills and assists in general departmental organization
  • Communicates clearly and effectively in a timely manner with patients, families and hospital staff, sharing inter-departmental and intra-departmental jobknowledge. Receives all calls in a professional and courteous manner
  • Brings scheduling problems or patient's concerns to the attention of the therapy supervisor
  • Demonstrates ability to adapt to changing circumstances related to internal| external factors. Exhibits flexibility dealing with changes in schedulingprocesses|policies. Willing to learn all components of scheduling process for both IP|OP scheduling
  • Completes intake forms, obtains clinical information in order to make sound judgement as to which services are required, respecting privacy of others andconfidentiality of information. Schedules appointments based on information obtained
  • Observes and follows policies and procedures of inpatient rehabiliation.
