HP - Temporary Upholsterer Cell 1

Individual is responsible for ensuring product is assembled, inside, outside and upholstered per customer specifications. Quality and production requirements must be met. 3 years of experience required. Hourly rate will be DOE. The pay rate is between $18.00 - $25.00 per hour (DOE). An on-site test will be given once an interview is scheduled.

Assemble/Outside/Upholster pieces in accordance with the customers specifications:



  • Able to assemble and upholster various styles of furniture
  • Familiar with and able to operate air powered tools, drill, stapler, etc.
  • Able to utilize hand tools, i.e. scissors, wrenches, screwdriver, hammer, hot melt glue gun, etc.
  • Read and comprehend the instructions on the tickets to ensure that the appropriate parts are utilized
  • Must be able to squeeze, use both hands, pull or push parts or material
  • Ability to retain to memory the various styles
  • Able to recognize the various stains and parts necessary for assembly and upholster in accordance with the customer expectations
  • Weight of parts/subassemblies vary. Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to push/pull 100+ pounds
  • Must comply with quality standard
  • Must comply with production standard
  • Must adhere to all safety rules and regulations
  • Must be available to work overtime with a minimum of notice
  • Must be willing to cross train and accept additional duties

  • Furniture must have minimal wrinkles, puckers, etc.
  • Finished product must meet all quality standards and meet customers' expectations.

Maintain a clean and orderly workplace:



  • Clean area on a daily basis
  • Ensure that the parts and tools are in appropriate storage area
  • Return tools to proper storage area

  • Assist with other tasks or in other departments
