Independent Health Association, Inc., Buffalo, NY seeks Senior ETL Support Engineers - Senior ETL Support Engineer - Provide technical guidance and support to the ETL Production Support team on incidents and deliverables. Mentor and coach team members to enhance their skills and development. Strong skills in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Agile methodologies, testing processes and coding standards to balance consistency with flexibility to support business needs. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive actionable insights that facilitate cross-functional initiatives and business outcomes. Expertise in ETL data management areas such as ETL and database architecture and design, data warehouse design and implementation to include the use of Informatica Power Center, Oracle. Collect and validate requirements for database and ETL processes by engaging with non-technical experts to understand data behavior, and collaborate with project teams to align business objectives, insights, and reporting needs for effective data visualization. Use of healthcare concepts and healthcare data CPT, HCPCS, DRG, ICD-10/ICD-9 Code, etc. in order to understand business requirements. Design and develop the necessary modifications to existing workflows and code to meet user requirements and/or resolve issues causing unsatisfactory results. Develop and/or update written specifications and documentation to support processes to include the use of Informatica Power Center, Oracle, SQL Server 2, Unix Shell Scripts and Teradata. Designed and developed ETL methodology using Informatica Power Center to create mappings, sessions and workflows for populating the data into various tables simultaneously from different source systems like SQL server, Oracle 11g/10g and flat files. Perform advanced ETL development activities using Informatica, PL/SQL, Oracle Database tuning, SQL tuning. Proficient in one of the enterprise scheduling tools using Informatica Schedular, Tidal and other industry leading tools. Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Unix/Linux shell scripts for automating system tasks and data processing workflows. Perform all levels of data quality checks, data validation, and data profiling to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Develop ETL/ELT workflows, data ingestion processes, and data transformation activities using ADF/Synapse pipelines and activities. Implement processes and logic to extract, transform, and distribute data across one or more data stores from a wide variety of sources. Working with cloud technologies, Microsoft Azure, and Power Platform including Azure Data Factory, Azure Dev Ops, CI/CD pipelines as it relates to develop data workflows. Optimize data processing and storage in Azure Data Warehouse and Data Lakes, ensuring high performance and scalability. Monitor and troubleshoot data integration and data warehousing solutions, identifying, and resolving performance issues and bottlenecks. Stay updated with the latest Azure Data Engineering trends, best practices, and technologies, and provide recommendations for process improvements and tool enhancements. Document technical specifications, data flows, and solution designs to ensure effective knowledge transfer and maintainable solutions. Provide technical guidance to team members, sharing expertise in Azure Data Factory and Azure Fabric. Support the ETL application services team development efforts (project or run-the-business changes, technical debt) as needed and time permits, following existing standards. Collaborate with ETL developers/architects and other IT stakeholders to ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer of new/modified ETL solutions as per IHA's production turnover procedures and requirements. Should be able to make judicious decision with respect to ETL design so that the final ETL solution satisfies all the quality and non-functional requirements criteria. Should be able to come up with multiple approaches to any ETL problem statement/solution/technical challenge and take well informed decision to pick the best solution.

Requires Bachelor's (or foreign educ. equiv.) Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field and Five (5) yrs. (post-degree, progressive) experience in Job Offered or related. Experience must have included Use of Informatica Power Center, Oracle , SQL server, Unix Shell Scripts, Teradata; Use of Informatica IDQ, PL/SQL; Use of Tidal; Use of Informatica Data Validation Options; and Use of healthcare concepts and healthcare data including CPT, HCPCS, DRG and ICD-10/ICD-9 Code. $144,040/yr.

Compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, location and experience.

In addition to base compensation, associates may be eligible for a scorecard incentive, full range of benefits and generous paid time off. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
