Summary of Job Duties:The Research Technician will support endocrine disruption and cancer research under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI). This position involves conducting a variety of laboratory experiments in molecular and cell biology, as well as in vivo studies using mouse models. The Research Technician will be responsible for developing or adapting standard protocols to meet the specific needs of the research project.

In addition to experimental work, the role includes administrative responsibilities such as maintaining accurate records, assisting with equipment upkeep, managing laboratory supplies, and editing research-related documents. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic research environment. Qualifications:
  • HS/GED PLUS two (2) years experience in performing tests in a research laboratory

Responsibilities:

  • Supports research activities as outlined in the grant application under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI) or collaborating researchers.

  • Assists with the development and modification of research protocols and conducts literature reviews to support current and future experiments.

  • Participates in the collection, evaluation, and documentation of experimental data.

  • Conducts statistical and graphical analysis of results and provides input and recommendations to the PI or collaborators in alignment with project goals.

  • Assists in overseeing laboratory personnel and assigned students, including providing training and coordinating schedules.

  • Manages procurement, inventory, and maintenance of lab equipment and supplies.

  • Ensures compliance with all applicable University, State, and Federal laboratory safety regulations and procedures.
