Account Receivable Clerk

Essential Job Functions:

• Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Collections Manager and other staff.
• Verify discrepancies and resolve client billing issues.
• Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
• Process account credit reports and assist with monitoring credit limits.
• Process return authorizations, to include allowances, credits, etc.
• Complete various invoicing to include: immediate manufacturing/freight releases, billings & tax credits.
• Process credit cards and deposit checks as needed.
• Assist with customer service items including waivers, invoices, statements and other customer requests.
• Process customer account adjustments.
• Assist with tax exemption verifications to ensure proper tax credits are executed.
• Monitor group email and assign tasks as necessary.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field or 4+ years working experience in Accounts Receivable or Customer Service setting.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles.
• Ability to calculate and manage accounting figures for customer account reconciliations.
• Data entry skills as well as proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
• Accurate and detail oriented.
• Excellent customer service skills and negotiation skills.
• Ability to search internet and other resources to locate information when needed.
