Strategic Account Manager - Remote - Maryland/Pennsylvania

As the Field Account Manager - Strategic Accounts, you will be responsible for driving sales results and developing strong customer relationships within strategic accounts in a defined territory. You will play a crucial role in promoting bioprocessing products and services, identifying new business opportunities, and actively using our CRM system (SFDC) to manage sales activities and customer interactions effectively.

What you will accomplish together with us:

  • Promote Sartorius bioprocessing products and services within an assigned geographic area, product range, or key account to achieve sales and revenue targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities aligned with Sartorius' overall market and growth strategy.
  • Actively use SFDC to manage and document leads, opportunities, customer interactions, and sales activities, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurately entered.
  • Analyze SFDC data for assigned customers to identify trends, generate insights, and track sales performance.
  • Drive newly launched innovative products and services into the marketplace and follow up on successful sales activity implementation.
  • Assess and analyze customer needs, generate leads, respond to inquiries, and suggest appropriate products and services.
  • Develop and implement account plans, coordinating resources in line with these plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance market perception and develop successful strategies to gain business from accounts.
  • Coordinate and participate in marketing activities within the assigned territory.
  • Frequently assess the potential of each customer and plan to realize it into business.
  • Manage and build strong customer relationships for long-term partnerships.

What will convince us:

  • Bachelors degree in life sciences, engineering or a related field (Masters degree would be beneficial)
  • 3+ years of field sales experience in bioprocessing.
  • Hands-on knowledge and proactive usage of SFDC and other CRM tools
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated, energetic, results oriented, capacity to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Good teamwork skills and proven ability to also work with cross-functional teams
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently
  • Proven software skills, e.g. Microsoft Office
