Description

The Office Supervisor is responsible for the management and coordination of the facility office and staff. This position will perform clerical duties and will work with operations, vendors, and employees.

Responsibilities of Position:



  • Manage personnel and daily office operations.
  • Performs all tasks in safe manner and maintain records in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
  • Management and coordination of office staff including designating assignments and establishing procedures.
  • Generate and process purchase orders as needed and make sure all invoices are submitted, filed and complete at the end of every month.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including but not limited to maintaining office inventory, maintaining files, and assisting employees with the new hire process.
  • Motivate subordinates to work more effectively, identifying development areas and providing solutions.
  • Train and direct employees to improve their overall performance.
  • Coordinate adequate staffing levels, exercise real-time schedule adjustments as needed.
  • Perform and conduct performance evaluations, monitor and track employee attendance, complete disciplinary actions/meetings and conduct terminations.
  • Maintain proper records and files including all compliance and personnel records.
  • Recommend and assist in the development and implementation of procedures within the office.
  • Advise and instruct employees when new policies and/or procedures are implemented.
  • Regularly meet with staff to exchange information and to discuss and resolve issues affecting the office.
  • Schedule and conduct formal staff meetings in order to exchange information and to discuss ways to make the office function more efficiently.
  • Ensure that confidential material and data is protected.
  • Provide exceptional customer service with internal and external customers and enforce the same with subordinates.
  • Prepare and present monthly, weekly or annual reports as necessary.
  • Provide leadership and maintain a positive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a professional manner that promotes good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, employees and management.
  • Balance multiple projects effectively and recommend systemic improvements.
  • Supervise and or perform special projects as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:



  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, judgment and decision-making skills in areas of personnel management.
  • Ability to motivate staff and deal effectively with performance issues to meet standards.
  • Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
  • Must possess strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications such as Word, Excel.
  • Must have above average attendance and evaluation history.
  • Must exhibit excellent judgment and decision-making skills in areas of personnel management.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, motivate, and perform high level supervisory duties in a manner to produce a high level of performance and morale.



Physical Requirements in a Regular W:



  • Continuous Sitting in Office Environment
  • Continuous hand/finger dexterity



Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:



  • Ability to work flexible hours; overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable).
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language.

Education
High School (preferred)
General Education Diploma (preferred)
Experience
Waste industry experience. (preferred)
2 years: Previous Supervisory experience. (preferred)
