About the Role

The Sr. Analyst, New England Financial Planning & Analysis
* Supports the Plan to Perform ("PLTP") processes across National Grid delivering the strategic business plans, annual operating budgets, and forecasts, with finance, regulatory, and business insights
* Supports the performance management framework and the external reporting processes
* Works with Finance Business Partnering teams and other key stakeholders (e.g. Regulation) regarding key assumptions and insights in preparing products, materials as required by the PLTP process

What You'll Do
  • Collaborate with New England Finance Business Partnering to:
    • Develop, drive and challenge Wholesale Networks business assumptions that are critical to the New England business in respect of short-term results and longer-term strategy
    • Produce budgets, models and associated documents in line with Group and wider business needs
    • Run scenario analyses and other ad-hoc requests for key investment decisions, prospective rate filings, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Group FP&A team in respect of consolidated National Grid budgets and business plans
  • Support the requirements, governance and timeline of the overarching plan to perform process
  • Partner with Controllership and Enterprise Business Services to ensure proper tie-in between record to report and plan to perform processes (i.e. bridge from actuals to budget/forecast)
  • Support continued step-change to improve plan to perform process while maintaining necessary SOX requirements
  • Work with peers within the US Controllership to drive an inclusive and collaborative team environment
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree required and MBA preferred in Finance or Business
  • 3+ years of progressive Finance experience
  • Utility accounting preferred and finance experience
  • Finance/budgeting systems
  • Effective business partnerships
  • Working cross-functionally
  • Budgeting and long-term financial planning
  • Financial analysis
  • IFRS and US GAAP accounting
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Experience working with large data sets
  • Upward stakeholder management experience

Salary

$94,000-$111,000

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
