As a Deployed Transformation Engineer, you will design and deliver technology solutions that enhance how Avis Budget Group operates. Working within the Transformation organization, you will shape next-generation applications that drive smarter decisions, greater efficiency, and stronger business outcomes.

Your solutions will support thousands across our global operations, powering daily work and decision-making at every level. You will guide both the technical direction and cross-functional collaboration, partnering with stakeholders to identify challenges, prototype ideas, and scale them into production-ready systems.

This is not a traditional engineering role. It is an opportunity to redefine how a global business runs by turning ideas into scalable systems that power the next era of Avis Budget Group.

What You'll Do:

  • Build solutions that are intuitive, reliable, and truly adopted by end users - ensuring the tools you create deliver real value in day-to-day operations.

  • Collaborate with business and operations teams to understand workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and define technical requirements.

  • Develop and iterate on technical solutions for complex business challenges, from concept through deployment.

  • Quickly understand and enhance existing applications and production workflows, including those that support critical business operations.

  • Support solution rollouts and adoption through documentation, user support, and training

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Operations Research, Physics

  • 1 to 3 years of experience using technology to solve real world problems in a customer-facing or business-facing environment.

  • Experience developing applications or data-driven tools that improve business operations or decision-making.

  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or TypeScript/JavaScript and familiarity with modern frameworks and development tools

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions.

  • Excellent communication skills; able to bridge technical and non-technical discussions effectively

  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and prioritizing for maximum business impact

  • Willingness to travel 10-25% to collaborate with field teams and support deployments

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web application development (preferred)

  • Understanding of modern web design principles and responsive interfaces (preferred)

  • Prior experience working in transformation, analytics, or operations technology projects (preferred)

The annual starting salary for this position is between $66,300 -$90,376. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
