The Market President provides leadership and directs the overall operation of the Regional Medical Center. The Site Hospital President's actions should be consistent with the mission, vision, values and promise of City of Hope (COH) as well as the goals and objectives of the strategic plan. The Site Hospital President utilizes all resources to generate measurable results to benefit the corporation, the community, the facility, the staff, and most of all, the patients. The Site Hospital President will report to the Chief Integration Officer. The Market President is responsible for leading and driving hospital and ambulatory development and growth of cancer services and cancer outreach programs throughout the market. The incumbent in this position will be responsible for overall hospital and ambulatory operations, including strategic planning, budgeting, support services, clinical growth, patient experience, quality, performance improvement, and patient safety.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Plan and direct all aspects of an organization's policies, objectives, and initiatives. Develops short and long-range management and organization plans to define responsibilities and business activities consistent with the Regional Center's goals and objectives. Responsible for the Executive direct report's performance and development. Has final approval for all Executive hiring and promotions of the regional center.
  • Present state of the business reviews to the Chief Integration Officer on a regular basis. Collaborates with other hospital leaders and executives on major COH decisions, process changes, projects or as assigned. Anticipates and recognizes the evolving factors that affect current/future needs and develops plans/programs/projects to meet these needs. Understands and ensures the full optimization of support services and information technology to achieve overall business objectives.
  • Focus on building relationships and partnerships with external stakeholders, representing City of Hope's mission with philanthropic donors and volunteers, civic and local organizations.
  • Be responsible for creating a care delivery experience that consistently exceeds patient and family member expectations and continuously improves patient satisfaction. Partners with the clinical leadership to attract and retain top physician talent. Directs and oversees business development functions including all phases of expansion, budgets, supply chain, capital spending, staff, and physician recruitment.
  • Represent the hospital before various civic, professional, educational, and business groups to discuss, market, interpret, and explain policies and programs and to foster good public relations. Plays an active role in developing and building a talent leadership pipeline for the Regional Center, as well as the entire enterprise and provides direction for the recruitment, employment, development, and retention of stakeholders.   • Work with Chief Integration Officer and the Corporate Compliance to provide awareness and implementation of new JCAHO/AAMI/ANSI/OSHA/OIG and other regulatory agencies standards and practices.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare administration is required.

Ten (10) years of progressive management experience successfully managing a mid to large-sized multi-function healthcare organization with a minimum of five (5) years in an executive leadership role.

MBA or MHA is strongly preferred
