Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrols in Land O Lakes, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. This armed post requires you to carry approved equipment and maintain a professional presence while interacting with the public. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents, and provide excellent customer service and communication. Our team values agility, reliability, and innovation, and we prioritize people through teamwork and integrity. This role may also require driving as part of your patrol duties.

Pay Rate: $21.25 / Hour

Responsibilities:

    Provide customer service by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the government location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
  • Assist in helping to deter unauthorized activities through visible presence and adherence to established protocols.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site requirements.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and emergency responders when necessary.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with staff, visitors, and the public at the government location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid Florida Armed Security Professional License.
  • Must have an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Must have an Armed Designation as required by state or local regulations.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license in the state of employment.
  • Must be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program, or have equivalent experience.
  • Must possess a Corrections Officer License.
  • Must possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
