(Large Engine Yard | Shipping & Receiving | Equipment Inventory Specialist)

Mustang Cat, the authorized Caterpillar dealer for Southeast Texas, is hiring an experienced and highly organized Inventory Coordinator to support yard and equipment operations for our Power Systems Division. This role plays a vital part in maintaining control and accuracy of large diesel and natural gas engine inventory, shipping & receiving, and equipment movement across departments.

What You'll Do as an Inventory Coordinator:



  • Maintain a clean and organized yard for large engines, attachments, and equipment
  • Handle all shipping and receiving of Caterpillar engine units with proper documentation
  • Accurately log and manage inventory locations using internal systems
  • Load and unload equipment safely and on schedule
  • Lead bi-annual inventory audits and maintain year-round inventory integrity
  • Support sales and service teams by staging and moving equipment promptly
  • Organize proof of delivery records both physically and electronically
  • Perform yard safety checks for employees, vendors, and customers
  • Represent Mustang Cat with professional service to all internal and external stakeholders



Position Requirements:



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of material handling, equipment movement, and forklift/machine operation
  • Strong writing, recordkeeping, and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow directions, troubleshoot issues, and work under pressure
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Proven ability to work accurately and safely in a fast-paced environment



Preferred Experience:



  • Some knowledge of Caterpillar heavy equipment and power systems
  • Experience using Cat Interact and DBS to research and manage engine data
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills
