What We'll Bring:

Senior Audio/Video Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing support of all video conferencing endpoints and infrastructure within the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of audio/video technology, networking, and IT systems to ensure optimal performance and user experience. This individual will be a key technical resource for the team providing guidance and mentorship. Additionally, this role supports all major events such as town halls, all hands, special events meeting. We also are responsible for CM1 and CM2 events, ensuring their successful execution.

What You'll Bring:

  • 5 years of proven experience in audio/video engineering, with a focus on video conferencing.
  • Strong understanding of video conferencing protocols (SIP, H.323, etc.) and codecs.
  • Expertise in network infrastructure, including IP networking, routing, and switching.
  • Hands-on experience with audio/video signal processing and quality metrics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in video conferencing technologies (e.g., Cisco, Poly, Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
  • Experience with cloud-based video conferencing platforms.
  • Knowledge of audio/video signal processing and quality metrics.
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages for automation and troubleshooting.

Impact You'll Make:

  • Video Endpoint Management:
    • Deploy, configure, and maintain a variety of video conferencing endpoints (e.g., software-based, hardware-based, room systems) across diverse environments (conference rooms, huddle spaces, desktops).
    • Troubleshoot and resolve endpoint-related issues, including hardware malfunctions, software bugs, codec issues, and network connectivity problems.
    • Provide technical support to end-users for video conferencing applications, including troubleshooting audio/video quality, connectivity problems, and application errors.
    • Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and firmware updates on endpoints, adhering to vendor recommendations and security best practices.
  • Infrastructure Support:
    • Manage and optimize the video conferencing infrastructure, including video codecs, gateways, media servers, and recording systems.
    • Monitor system performance using relevant tools (e.g., network analyzers, protocol analyzers) to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
    • Collaborate with network engineers to optimize network performance for video conferencing, including QoS configuration, bandwidth management, and network latency reduction.
    • Maintain and update video conferencing platform configurations, including user management, security settings, and integration with other systems.
  • Project Management:
    • Participate in the planning and implementation of new video conferencing projects, including needs assessments, system design, and budget planning.
    • Conduct site surveys to assess room acoustics, lighting, cabling infrastructure, and power requirements for new installations.
    • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal IT teams for equipment procurement, installation, and integration.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest audio/video technologies, codecs (H.264, H.265, VP9), network protocols (RTP, RTCP, SIP), and industry standards.
    • Provide technical guidance and recommendations to improve video conferencing capabilities, such as optimizing video quality, enhancing collaboration features, and improving user experience.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for video conferencing systems, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.

Pay Scale Information : The U.S. base salary range for this position is $78,750.00 - $131,250 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual's education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion's annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
