New York Dental Affiliates (NYDA) is adding a part-time Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi. This premier facility accommodates over 325,000 outpatient visits, 100,000 emergency room visits, and 20,000 inpatient admissions annually, serving a diverse community with a wide range of healthcare needs. Opportunity Details:

  • Direct supervision of OMFS resident staff.
  • The candidate will be part of a growing OMFS Department that includes a strong infrastructure of support with the present attending staff in OMFS.
  • Participation in daily rounds of in-patients.
  • Scholarly activity with resident education program and mentorship of research initiatives.
  • Educational conferences and presentations to faculty and residents across all disciplines.
  • Growth of Craniofacial Division to include treatment for Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Cleft Palate Repair.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD).
  • MD Degree Preferred.
  • Board Eligible by The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (Board Certification Preferred).
  • Appropriate New York State licensure.
  • Fellowship Certificate of training preferred; however, not required.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $201,000* (board eligible); $207,000* (board certified) based on 24-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $300,620** (board eligible) and $307,220** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:

  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
  • Projected bonus of up to $24,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
    • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
    • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
  • Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to you.
    • Additional employee-paid Voluntary Life and AD&D coverage is available for you and your family.
  • Dental Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrence-based): Provided at no cost to the employee.
  • Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).
  • Pre-tax employee-paid contributions for commuting expenses.
  • Visa sponsorship will be considered for this position.
