Position Overview:

Lead the closing process for all loan products supported by the Commercial Loan Closing Team in the following lines of business: Commercial Real Estate (CRE), Multifamily, Commercial and Industrial (C&I), Healthcare, Wealth and Community Banking. Commercial Loan Closer III may close agented or participated transactions, secondary market trades, letters of credit and/or construction loans. The position is responsible for maintaining the highest quality service to clients, prospects, as well as internal partners, ensuring the accuracy of client account administrative activities and developing collaborative relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Coordinate with all parties involved to manage the to the expected closing date.
  • Execute a prudent closing process for all loan products including new loans, amendments, extensions, modifications, and renewals.
  • Evaluate all closing documentation to ensure all pre-closing conditions and issues have been appropriately identified and accurately addressed.
  • Confirm KYC and CIP have been completed.
  • Determine and ensure adequate insurance is obtained prior to closing including flood determination.
  • Perform all searches, escrow analysis and escrow holdbacks.
  • Prepare, review, and approve the closing package and settlement statement.
  • Actively engage and manage all vendors involved in the transaction.
  • Review legal documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Prepare wires for funding and ensure funding was processed including OFAC and Callbacks.
  • Follow-up with Counsel if full closing package is not received within 10 business days of Closing.
  • Post funding complete the booking sheet in accordance with timeframes in the booking procedure.
  • Complete all checklists and hand-off collateral documents to loan operations.
  • Identify exceptions that require post-closing follow-up.
  • Maintain ongoing awareness of all legal and regulatory changes that may affect closing procedure.
  • Escalate early and appropriately.
  • Assist with audit requests and special projects.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in business Related Field preferred
  • Minimum 10+ years working in a Commercial Lending Department or Bank Environment
  • Significant knowledge of Commercial Lending Credit Agreements
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Effective customer service skills-internal and external
  • Detail oriented
  • Superior multi-tasking skills
  • Experience with basic office programs and equipment including Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Jack Henry System Silverlake a plus, not a requirement
  • Knowledge of Syntrak a plus, not a requirement

The approximate pay range for this position is $81,410 to $106,466, plus an opportunity to earn performance-based incentives. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as geographic location.
