Overview

Deutsche Bank is looking for an Associate to join the Global Corporate Coverage team in New York where you will be challenged to perform at the highest level of excellence in a demanding environment. You will work with product partners drawing from the full spectrum of the Firm's resources to develop customized financial solutions to meet the needs of clients. You will work directly with senior coverage bankers, supporting them with all client activities (marketing, execution, and ongoing relationship management). As the Associate, you will assume responsibility for managing internal processes for deal execution, internal approvals, business aspects of regulatory reporting and ongoing management of client relationships. The Associate will also be an important knowledge resource for Analysts and Interns, helping to advance their development in the Bank.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure, in close cooperation with Global Coverage Banker (GCB), that Deutsche Bank is the provider of choice for clients and that all avenues for working with our clients across different geographies and products are explored. Support the execution of the Industrials team coverage strategy
  • Develop proficiency across all products within the scope of Corporate Coverage (Credit, Debt Capital Markets, Foreign Exchange, Rates, Asset Management, Cash Management, Trade Finance, and Investor Services)
  • Contribute to the development of marketing materials and the build-out of Deutsche Bank's US Corporate Coverage franchise and reputation in the market. Assist in the preparation of pitch books and other marketing materials. Prepare internal approval documents such as credit memos and capital allocation forum memos
  • Attend meetings with clients alongside GCBs to build relationships with existing and potential clients whilst actively driving meeting preparations and key follow ups
  • Remain abreast and engaged with industry trends and themes. Develop productive relationships with other colleagues across divisions to ensure clients receive seamless service across all products
  • Support with the onboarding process for clients (working closely with Know Your Client and control colleagues), responding to internal/external stakeholder queries to ensure a timely and efficient process

Skills You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree with outstanding academic credentials
  • Experience within financial services (preferably Corporate Banking coverage or product roles) with an understanding or interest across corporate sectors
  • Strong analytical skills capable of assimilating new information quickly and pro-actively relating them to the needs of the client base
  • FINRA SIE, Series 63 and 79 license holders preferred (will be required)

  • Good project management skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and computer skills including PowerPoint and Excel-based modeling; effective verbal and written communication skills

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $90,000 to $139,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
