Position Title:Clinical Pharmacy Supervisor - Adult Oncology Department:Pharmacy Job Description:

General Description: Under the general direction of the Clinical Pharmacy Manager, clinical supervisor is responsible for the day to day oversight of clinical pharmacy services.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct supervision of the clinical pharmacy specialists.
  • Collaborates with the clinical managers for Pharmacy & Therapeutics meeting agenda preparation.
  • Conduct Clinical Pharmacy huddles.
  • Participates in the employment process.
  • Participates in orientation of new hire pharmacists including, but not limited to, clinical pharmacy specialists, direct care pharmacists, decentralized pharmacists.
  • Prepares work schedules and coordinates resolution of day-to-day unexpected scheduling changes.
  • Performs clinical pharmacy duties.
  • Participates in employee performance evaluations and counseling as needed.
  • Conduct audit of pharmacy to dose protocols and provide feedback to staff.
  • Maintain the clinical pharmacy metrics dashboard.

General Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Doctorate (PhD or MD)

Experience: 1 to 3 years demonstrated leadership experience required. Post-graduate year 2 (PGY2) pharmacy residency training or equivalent experience AND three (3) year of experience as a registered Pharmacist in a hospital setting preferred.

License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Licensed as a Doctor of Pharmacy (D.Ph.) by the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy.
Certificate as a preceptor by the Oklahoma Board of Pharmacy when eligible.
Board Certification in area of clinical pharmacy practice.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of pharmacy operational and clinical procedures/principles.
Ability to stay current with changes in evidence based clinical practices. Excellent communication skills and computer skills. Ability to supervise staff effectively.
