Position Overview

The Quality Engineer with take a lead role in administering, maintaining, improving Munter's quality system. Develop, coordinate and facilitate the implementation of quality process improvement efforts. Ensure that the quality of systems produced at Munters meet all customer expectations; quickly and effectively take action should a non-conformance be found.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive enhancements to Munters ISO and quality management system (QMS) to promote increased levels of quality and customer loyalty.
  • Lead internal and external audits. Identify and track opportunities for improvement (OFIs).
  • Serve as point of contact forMunters non-conformance reporting (NCR) system. Responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting non-conformances and other quality KPIs.
  • Administer site Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) process. Perform investigations, create and verify corrective actions, etc. as assigned.
  • Develop and implement quality measuring, reporting, and improvement systems.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process documentation improvements.
  • Communicate process/product quality standards to plant personnel through personal discussion, written instruction, training activities, etc.
  • Identify potentials for product quality improvements and drive the improvement efforts.
  • Resolve quality issues. Identify problems, examine solution options, and implement action plans.
  • Initiate, process, and assist in the investigation and resolution of customer complaints
  • Work with inspectors to develop inspection plans and receiving inspection plans.
  • Determine and apply appropriate Measurement System Analysis tools.
  • Perform additional assessment, analysis, and improvement work as assigned.
  • Technical support for the Non-Conforming Material system, including review of dispositions and associated actions
  • Reports directly to the Quality & Lean Manager

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or technical discipline required.
  • 5 or more years of quality systems experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of, and auditing to, the ISO 9001:2015 standard
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and other departments.
  • Skilled in project management of medium-sized projects, able to breakdown end objectives into monthly milestones.
  • Strict attention to detail, with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Hands-on approach with a learning mindset.
  • Working knowledge of process controls.
  • Competent use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to self-start, work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certification in Quality Engineering (e.g., CQE or CQA from ASQ).
  • Lead Auditor Certified
  • Familiarity with risk management tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA).
  • Experience with SPC methods and root cause analysis tools (e.g., 8D, A3, Pareto, Fishbone Diagram).

  • Solid understanding of quality engineering principles and quality assurance systems.
  • Self-organized; possesses solid organizational, planning and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma; Black Belt and ASQ certification(s) a plus
