Position Summary Temple University's Project Delivery Group is seeking a Design Project Manager to join its team of talented professionals. This position reports to the Associate Director of Planning & Design. The Project Delivery Group provides planning, design, and construction management services for all of Temple's campuses.
The Design Project Manager will support the Project Delivery Group with the planning, design, documentation, and construction administration of projects for a wide range of building types with a primary focus on managing the planning, design, and construction administration for a wide range of architecture and interior design projects from predesign to project closeout. Working closely with the larger team of architects, construction managers and support staff within the department, and with staff in Operations & Maintenance, this position will contribute to the overall operation and service-oriented activities of the department. The Design Project Manager will also perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Engineer or a related degree.
* A minimum three (3) years of experience in the profession
* Demonstrated experience in space planning, programming, design, construction document production and/or construction administration.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Education and Experience
* Progress toward professional license
* LEED Accreditation preferred.
* Knowledge of project management software (i.e., e-Builder/Trimble).
Required skills and abilities:
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written text for all general project-related communications.
* Demonstrated proficiency in AUTOCAD and/or Revit for the development of design documents and related deliverables
* Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Suite and in 3D modeling software rendering programs such as Sketch Up, 3D Studio or other similar program.
* Must be proficient in use of planning software applications, including Excel, Teams, PowerPoint.
* Ability to create, modify and read drawings and to explain content of drawings to non-architects.
* Ability to develop and coordinate graphics for presentations in the form of printed documents projected and digitally transmitted images.
* This position requires a Department of Motor Vehicles license check.
* This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
