ABOUT THE JOB

JPI has an exciting opportunity for an Integration Lead to join our Design for Execution team located in Dallas, TX.

The Integration Lead is a hands-on executor and team connector responsible for implementing design validation and cross-functional coordination efforts. This role operates the frameworks and expectations established by the Integration Manager and ensures that project milestones, drawing phasing, and design acceptance tasks are carried out in real time. The Lead actively engages with project teams, design, PreCon, construction, and consultants, to ensure that deliverables are aligned, issues are tracked and resolved, and timelines are maintained. The position will report to the Integration Manager.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Validation of Design & Establishing Design Requirements

  • Implement and manage project-specific design validation processes to confirm alignment with enterprise-level requirements.

  • Coordinate real-time reviews of drawings and specifications to validate compliance with operational and regulatory goals.

  • Communicate design validation feedback to consultants and internal stakeholders, ensuring corrections are made promptly to avoid schedule impacts.

  • Monitor consultant onboarding timelines and actively assist with removing blockers, delays, or gaps in documentation.

  • Partner with project teams to uphold standards related to planning, building systems, and architectural design intent, aligning with both operational functionality and design quality.

Drawing Phasing & Design Milestones

  • Apply and enforce the organization's standard phasing logic and milestone framework to ensure deliverables are submitted in correct sequence and completeness.

  • Own the day-to-day tracking of milestone submissions, coordinating updates in trackers, dashboards, and other documentation tools.

  • Validate that drawing packages meet gate criteria before construction release, escalating risks or deviations to the Integration Manager as needed.

  • Maintain a detailed record of drawing progress, consultant submittals, and milestone achievements across assigned projects.

  • Conduct working sessions with consultants and internal stakeholders to clarify deliverable expectations and proactively manage sequencing.

Owner Support (Change Orders & Design Acceptance)

  • Support cross-functional coordination and issue resolution processes by driving meeting agendas, follow-ups, and action item closure.

  • Assist in executing the documentation handoff framework by ensuring drawing packages, logs, and templates are accurately prepared for downstream teams.

  • Coordinate and track owner-directed design changes, including finish-level modifications, ensuring updates are logged, communicated, and budget impacts are captured.

  • Actively participate in field coordination meetings during construction to help resolve owner RFIs, submittals, and design deviations promptly.

  • Serve as the day-to-day integration liaison in the field, ensuring fast-track decisions are supported with clear documentation and escalation protocols.

  • Manage workflows related to jurisdictional documentation, address registration, and agency approvals in coordination with other departments.

Education, Work Experience, & Physical Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field.

  • 4-6 years of Experience including 2 of the following areas: development, design management and construction, preferably in the multifamily industry.

  • Excel, Bluebeam, and Procore.

  • Knowledge of project phasing, execution risks, and owner-driven design changes.

  • Ability to manage multiple teams and projects while ensuring quality and consistency.

  • Experience with processes for design validation and documentation workflows.

  • Act as a representative and advocate of JPI's culture and guiding principles

  • 5-day work week (Monday-Friday) Physical Co-location
