Position Summary:

The Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology has three doctoral programs and two masters programs: PsyD in Clinical Psychology, PsyD in School-Clinical Child Psychology, PhD in Clinical Psychology with Health Emphasis, MA in Mental Health Counseling, and MS in Marriage and Family Therapy. The Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology operates a training clinic (Parnes Clinic), which is staffed, at any given time, by 150 to 200 students, one part-time psychiatrist, one post-doctoral fellow and one administrative assistant. The function of the Parnes Clinic is to provide affordable psychological services for the local community, including the Albert Einstein College of Medicine; and to provide a core training opportunity for the PsyD in Clinical Psychology, PsyD in School-Clinical Child Psychology, and PhD in Clinical Psychology with Health Emphasis doctoral programs.

Position Responsibilities:
|
Position responsibilities for Ferkauf Casual Staff may include:
- Assist in research at the graduate level.
- Perform psychological testing and engage in didactics, supervision, teaching, and consultation experiences that occur during the entire year.
- Code psychotherapy transcript for Patient Attachment Coding System (PACS).
- Execute general lab administrative tasks.
- Conduct intakes with patients in the clinic and assign patients to student clinicians.
- Provide evening coverage in the clinic to assist student clinicians as needed.
- Review and edit patient clinic charts.
- Update and edit clinic materials, including manuals, brochures, and websites as needed.
- Provide direct therapy to patients in the clinic as appropriate.
- Attend faculty meetings and other academic program meetings as appropriate.
- Participate in outreach activities to clinic patient referrals to the clinic.

Experience & Educational Background:
|
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate in psychology or a similar relevant field.
- Experience working or volunteering in an academic/research laboratory setting.
- Proficiency in PC and statistical software, including SPSS.
- Experience with survey software (e.g., Qualtrics) and the administration of psychodiagnostic and cognitive assessment measures and computer-based data collection would be advantageous.

Salary Range:

$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
