HOURS:

40 hours per week; Typically 9AM to 6PM with some variation Mon- Fri.; additional weekend or evenings may be required based on business need.
Potential for travel to conferences, college fairs, and recruitment/community events.

Position Overview
The Re-Entry Advisor is responsible for driving re-entry enrollments to the campus by guiding the student through the re-entry application process. This is done by building rapport with each student to gain insight into their educational goals along with matching the student's needs with Herzing University's offerrings. The Re-Entry Advisor will be advising students on academic and personal concerns as well as identifying support channels and outlining all requirements for re-entry.

Pay:
Compensation is determined based on the qualifications, experience, and circumstances of each hire. It is uncommon for new employees to start near the top of the salary range. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a tuition waiver and reimbursement program, health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement savings plan. The hourly pay range for this position is $23.17 to $31.39.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's Degree or two years of equivalent work experience required (preferrably in admissions, customer service or sales).
  • Minium of two years in a higher education role working with student retention.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Sutite is required.
  • Ability to problem solve and be resourceful.
  • Ability to work independently and seek help when needed.


    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



    • Responds to all interested re-entry students in a timely manner through multiple communication methods including telephone, email, text messaging, and virtual chat.
    • Conducts a re-entry discussion with each interested student to discuss goals, previous enrollment experience, and the student's current state.
    • Reviews the overall process and requirements for re-entry to students.
    • Discusses different programs offered and possible educational and career paths associated with each to ensure the student has firm understanding of their path forward.
    • Coordinates with other internal departments to determine student specific information including but not limited to their start date and academic standing.
    • Shares resources with students including the Herzing.edu website, Zoomifier as needed, and Tuition Wizard.
    • Connects students to other staff members in various departments as needed to help support the student.
    • Perform consistent outreach to students interested in re-entry.
    • All other duties as assigned.


    Ideal candidate will live near one of the South-Region campuses - Atlanta, Birmingham, Akron, New Orleans, Nashville.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position most of the time.
    • Must be able to occasionally move around the work location.
    • Constantly operates office and/or teach equipment which may include computers, copiers, fax machines, audio/visuals.
    • Frequently uses voice and hearing to communicate with students, staff or colleagues face-to-face or over the telephone.
    • Visually or otherwise identify, observe and assess.
    • Occasionally move, carry, or lift 10 pounds
