You are the Staff Accountant that will be involved in the general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, financial reporting support, and collaboration with internal departments. As the ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and has a strong foundation in accounting principles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements and capital expenditure schedules
  • Preform account analysis and review transactions for accuracy and completeness
  • Track and record fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and accruals
  • Provide financial support, including forecasting, budgeting and analyzing variations from budget
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and legal regualtions
  • Collaborates with other departments and maintain cooperative and strong relationships
  • Establish and develop strong internal controls, streamline existing processes, and develop continuous improvement measures.
  • Meets company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures
  • Create ad-hoc reporting and work on special projects as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Training and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 2-4 years' of accounting experience (public accounting or corporate experience a plus)
  • Manufacturing or distribution experience a plus
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power BI reporting experience a plus


Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written with employees across all levels within the company
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint)
  • Understanding of manufacturing process and inventory management

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The work environment of the position is in a professional office and warehouse environment.
